Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data the Jade Paddock website and platform collect, why, and what rights you have. It covers this marketing website and the platform services we run for motor-racing organisers.
Who we are
Jade Paddock is the controller of the personal data collected on this website. For the drivers and staff of an organiser that uses the platform, the organiser is the controller and Jade Paddock processes the data on its behalf. Use the contact page to reach us about anything in this policy.
What we collect on this website
- Contact form: your name, email address, organisation and phone number (both optional), your message, the time you agreed to this policy and your IP address, which we keep to deal with abuse.
- Technical data: the web server records requests (IP address, browser, pages) in its logs to keep the service secure and working.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
Cookies
This website sets only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie and a security token that protect the contact form. They are deleted when they expire. Because they are essential, we do not ask for consent to them. Your choice of light or dark mode is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
Why we use your data
- To answer your message and discuss the platform with you (our legitimate interest, or steps before a contract at your request).
- To keep this website and the platform secure, including spam and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
Service providers
We use these processors to run the website and the platform. Each one receives only what it needs:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by a person and not a bot.
- Our email provider (SMTP relay, for example SendGrid) delivers the emails we and the platform send.
- Twilio sends SMS messages, such as race-control messages and sign-in codes, for organisers who use them.
- Sentry receives error reports so we can fix faults; we configure it not to collect personal data.
- Open-Meteo provides weather forecasts for circuits; it receives circuit locations only.
- Tiny Cloud provides the text editor that organiser staff use in the backoffice.
- Our AI writing service helps organiser staff draft website text in the backoffice, only when they ask it to.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers that store the platform's data.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are deleted automatically after the retention period set in our platform settings (one year unless we change it). Server logs are kept for a short period for security.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it or ask us to limit it. If you are a driver or staff member of an organiser, contact that organiser first; we will help them answer. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page when the way we handle personal data changes.
